Origin: North America, especially the eastern regions of the United States.

Characteristics:

Color: The sapwood ranges from creamy white to light brown. The heartwood ranges from grayish brown to pale yellowish brown.
Texture: It has a straight, distinct, and coarse texture. It is a very hard, heavy, strong, and flexible wood. It has high impact resistance and bending strength.

Other Names: White Ash, American Ash, Fraxinus Americana (botanical name).

Uses: Sports equipment (baseball bats, paddles, hockey sticks), furniture (especially chairs and tables), tool handles, flooring (parquet), cabinets, and kitchen cabinets.
