Outdoor Use

A water and oil-based, coloured wood preservative that can be applied to all types of wooden surfaces on both interior and exterior walls.

  • Hybrid combination (Water & Oil combination)
  • Low smell. Does not drip, easy to apply. Dries quickly.
  • Resistant to UV rays. (Clear varnish has no UV resistance. Not recommended for exterior use.)

Usage Areas: Can be applied to all types of wooden surfaces in interior and exterior spaces, such as panels, doors, windows, pergolas, and roof edges.

Shake the container well before use. The surface must be clean, dry and free of any grease, varnish and chemicals. Wood surfaces with high oil content (teak, iroko, sapelli, etc.) should be wiped with cellulose thinner. Areas covered with old and damaged varnish should be completely cleaned by sanding in the direction of the wood grain. Dust on the floor should be removed with a soft cloth.

Raw wood surfaces should be impregnated with Aqua Impregniergrund 05. Aqua Max 505 should be applied in 3 coats on exterior surfaces. For the primer coat, it should be diluted with 10% water and applied to the surface. The 2nd and 3rd coats should be applied without dilution. Sanding must be carried out between coats.

For interior applications, one coat over the primer coat is sufficient.

Application can be done with a brush, roller, or paint sprayer. The roller used should be a varnish roller. For exterior applications, using a brush is recommended. The brush used should be acrylic with long bristles.

The temperature of the environment and surface to be applied should not be below 5°C or above 30°C. Application should be done before midday or in the evening when the sun's rays are not direct. Application should not be done on wood with high moisture content.
