Origin: Movingui: Tropical West and Central Africa (Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon).

Characteristics:

  • Color: Movingui's vibrant yellow/golden yellow color intensifies and deepens with heat treatment. It can transform from golden brown to reddish amber tones. The color is homogeneous and stable.
  • Texture: It retains its fine and straight grain, but surface hardness increases.
  • Mechanical Properties: High dimensional stability (not affected by moisture, does not crack or warp). Maximum resistance to water, moisture, mold, and decay (Natural durability class 1). The process is completely natural and chemical-free.

Other Names: Termo-Movingui, Thermo-Ayan, Heat-Treated Nigerian Satinwood.
